Industry participants are beginning to back down from Smart Choices after the public outcry. Perhaps they read our post? NYTimes reports: “It clearly blew up in their faces,” Mr. Jacobson [Center for Science in the Public Interest] said. “And the ironic thing is, their device for pre-empting government involvement actually seems to have stimulated government involvement.”
